Doing the right thing...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Which side are we on? Are we amongst those more than willing to please the masses, the crowds, rather than standing up and saying and doing what needs to be said and done? "Pilate again said to them, 'Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?' And they cried out again, 'Crucify him.' And Pilate said to them, 'Why? What evil has he done?' But they shouted all the more, 'Crucify him.' So, Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified." (Mark 15:12-15) Pilate was so close to TRUTH that he could literally touch it, in the form of Jesus Christ, but chose to please the masses, the riotous crowds rather than do what obviously needed to be done, to release an innocent man, who just happened to be the Son of God. May use Pilate's lack of action as our motivation to do the right thing at just the right time… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
