Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Beyond the shadow of a doubt, Jesus made THE ultimate sacrifice on behalf of mankind. Not only did we need to see His example of doing the right thing, but He knew we needed a tangible way by having our sins forgiven, all so we can possibly have a pathway back to your loving arms. We have no example of a greater sacrifice than the sacrifice of Jesus Christ; for at the time of His crucifixion He could have called 12 legions of angels (72,000 angels) to come to His defense, but He chose to die so that we might live. Jesus said, "Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?" (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭53‬-‭54‬) Jesus knew what He needed to do, so now we know what we need to do. Lord, you didn't create us to serve ourselves, but rather to serve one another in love; willing to sacrifice just as Jesus demonstrated for us, so we can know how to follow in His footsteps… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
