Disobedience is misplaced honor...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's been wisely described that "disobedience is misplaced honor" such that after we've failed miserably, the only honorable path is the pathway leading us back to Jesus Christ. It's not that we set out to be disobedient to your will, but the net effect is that it builds our faith and our character to humble ourselves in your sight. Without question you most definitely have a plan for us, and it always involves our attitude toward pursuing all things spiritual; "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." (James 4:7-10) It's this very humility that places us squarely in line to receive the forgiveness we will never deserve but that we'll surely treasure for an eternity of tomorrows… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
