Discovering His light in our darkest moments...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Ernest Hemingway once wisely stated, "In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels like too much." Our temptation is to step in and FIX our neighbor's problem, KNOWING we have THE perfect solution to remedy their dilemma. Lord, you know we can't stand it when others oversimplify our conundrums by proposing solutions that we, quite honestly, don't want to hear. But having others simply spending time with us, sacrificing their time to comfort us, to pray with us, to love us no matter the circumstances that brought us to this point in time; THIS is comforting, THIS is love; a most precious gift. When others are able to help us tune into your lovingkindness, it's in these moments when we discover your light in our darkest moments; "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
