Demanding instant judgment...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There's a weakness in this life and I for one know that I suffer because I'm guilty of displaying such a weakness; we want, no, we demand instant justice for those deserving a condemning judgment. But we all know that the shoe can easily be slipped onto the other foot when we do something deserving such a judgment, and then immediately finding ourselves begging for mercy. But at the end of the day I need to understand that THE most important thing in this life is not my life here in the present moment, but my life 10,000 years from now when we all will have passed from the physical to the spiritual side of the ledger. Jesus gave us very good advice when He said, "Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul." (Matthew 10:28) Life is brief, life is fragile, but eternal life lasts forevermore; THIS is the life I am seeking with all the passion I can possibly muster up at the beginning of each and every new day. Yes, it's a challenge to deal with the ever-expanding injustice in today's world, but oh the reward to be discovered when exchanging this injustice for a FULL "revenge-is-mine-says-the-Lord" level of justice in the next life… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
