Deal of a lifetime...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We all love a deal that's too good to be true, finding a bargain that just cannot be ignored. It certainly gives us a great feeling of accomplishment. Jesus knew our thoughts and used our feelings of discovering a great deal and then doing something about it when He proclaimed; "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." (Matthew 13:44) "Finding Jesus" is that kind of feeling, THAT kind of a deal; and indeed, it's a beautiful thing. For we were once lost, but now we're found; I was blind but now I see. THIS is THE deal of a lifetime, way too good to pass up. But what do we do, we see it, we acknowledge it, then we walk away from the deal-of-a-lifetime. Sad but true, as Jesus stated, many are called, but few are chosen… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
