Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Our fickle feelings come and go, changing as often as the weather in the midwestern US, literally changing moment by moment are our emotions subject to the circumstances we are forced to confront. If we don't feel like going to church to be with our brothers and sisters in Christ, if we don't feel like helping our neighbors, if we don't feel like you, O Lord, are sensitive to our needs, then we have missed the point of what it means to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Lead with feelings? NO WAY; rather we lead with leading others to Christ Jesus; "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:14-17) No doubt, we are called to have the strongest of desires to glorify you and your son, and to be thankful for Jesus because He loved us so, and to constantly focus on thinking less of ourselves and more of your spiritual ways with each and every new day; just as Jesus taught us to do… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
