Called to be a living sacrifice...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We are called to be a "living sacrifice" which speaks to just how important our dedication is to you, O Lord. "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬) How do we know how we can possibly achieve such a difficult proposition? As always, Jesus is the answer! He came to earth not just to help, but to rescue us. Sure Jesus also came to encourage us, but especially to prove to us that WE CAN DO THIS; but ultimately He came to deliver us when we fail! Jesus was THE perfect sacrifice. He bore our sins on the cross, offering us freedom and forgiveness. His sacrifice was perfect, once and for all; as Hebrews 10:10 proclaims, "We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." …Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
