Bringing out the best in others...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There is wisdom in this world that is better to learn sooner than later. Why? Because the later a lesson is learned, the longer the pain from that lesson learned lingers on. For instance, it's better for me to ask someone how they do something versus telling them how to do it! People just wanna be heard, people wanna be acknowledged for having the wisdom to know and articulate their craft. My temptation, tell everyone exactly how to do everything all the time! The problem is this never serves anyone well. Always, I need to learn from Jesus, the master of asking the appropriate follow-up question. He could've flat up told his disciples who He was, but He knew it was better to ask them who they believed He was. "Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, 'Who do people say that I am?' And they told him, 'John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.' And he asked them, 'But who do you say that I am?' Peter answered him, 'You are the Christ.'" (Mark 8:27-29) Lord, may I always seek to bring out the best in others, just as Jesus would have me do… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
