Anything but simple and carefree...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... To think that this life is simple and carefree is an approach that ignores the obvious, for this life is anything but simple and carefree. Oh, I understand the power of positive thinking, and mind over matter, and all of that jazz, but at the end of the day, life is one big-time struggle no matter how much we try to fool ourselves. Perhaps that's why you guided Paul to write, "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." (‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭2‬) For when we focus on the promises of eternal life through Jesus your son, our minds are freed from the "clutter" that clogs our thinking and dominates our waking hours. The peace-of-mind, the peace which surpasses all understanding, is the peace we all desire, and we are blessed to rise above this life when we have a life in Christ… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
