Loving others...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... If there's a common thread amongst mankind, it's that nobody likes to be told what to do. Yes, except those unwilling to acknowledge reality, we all fit in various hierarchies in our daily walk. As part of these hierarchies, we need to learn what we can and cannot do, it's just good common sense. Being told what to do does not bode well with our independent way of thinking. With this backdrop Jesus said, "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12) Is it optional that we love as Jesus loved us? No, it is not! It's a Commandment that we love one another; not optional, not when we feel like it, but a commandment to do even the very moment we want to do anything, but love those that are very difficult to love. But then again, Jesus said, "I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." ( Matthew 5:44) Lord, may I be more like Jesus this very moment and collectively, all of my moments from this moment moving forward in my life… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
