A very good idea...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I've always believed you've created goodness in each and every one of us; so naturally, I believe that all of us were indeed a "very good idea" from the beginning of time. But this is where it gets messy; we allow badness to creep into our lives in the form of falling for selfishly motivated temptations in this life, leading us to where we were never intended to go; to a place of evil and as such, separated from you, O Lord. But at our core, "God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:27) Then in Romans 3:23 we learn of our fate; "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." It sure didn't take us long to fail, but you alone are good, you alone provided a way back, a way leading to life everlasting… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
