Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... In many ways, too many to count, believers in Jesus Christ in this present day are simply a continuation of the Book of Acts. In his account, Luke wrote; “In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen." (Acts 1:1-2) I know it's a difficult pill to swallow, but the followers of Jesus Christ suffered immensely in the 1st century, so why should it be any different today? Jesus said, "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:11-12) Key words here, "on my account!" It's a fact, we WILL suffer when our lives are truly centered on Jesus; may we stand firm in the faith… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
