Worth the cost...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... You can't tell me that the majority of the people in this world truly want to take the easy way out, I'm just not buying it. Why? Because as we're saying to one another, "take it easy / don't work too hard" we quickly realize that anything worth fighting for in this life is ANYTHING but easy! We all need to be challenged and to toss the thoughts of living on easy street out the window. Then we need to begin working toward our goals and aspirations, to the point of KNOWING we're going to suffer setbacks, heartaches, and pain in pursuit of those goals worthy of pursuing. Jesus said, "Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:27) No one ever imagined that bearing a cross would be easy, not even close. But we have a calling in this life, a mission worth living and dying for; may we all know how blessed we are to be invited to suffer on behalf of THE kingdom worth living and dying for… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
