Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Divisive behavior leading to division is far too common these days. It's not that things have always been rosy between sworn enemies, but there's a right and a wrong way to resolve our differences. Today's society seems bent on being a "point-counterpoint" people, a "tit-for-tat" modus operandi; in fact, it's getting to the point that logic doesn't have a chance of ruling the day, let alone the moment. But Lord, you haven't led me to such polarizing behaviors, for I can't stand such childish ways. What ever happened to the scripture, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) Oh wait, did that say SOME things? No, ALL things! How's that possible? Could it be that when we have a desire to be obedient to the authorities, we'll then have an opportunity to discover the good in the present moment? I believe it's worth believing, for your word teaches, "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." (Romans 13:1) Obedience to higher authorities, now there's something worth demonstrating for… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
