We need to be ready...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What is normal? We all want to know, for to be viewed as anything but normal could lead to us being labeled "abnormal." But here's the kicker, as Christians, by design, we are supposed to be different when compared to the world; "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2) What a challenge this has proven to be for anyone desiring to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. The world and the worldly will seem to do anything to pull us to the dark side of life, to abandon Jesus, to magnify self above all others, to commit ourselves to doing whatever it takes to pursue selfish gain. But the spiritually inspired song testifies to the truth; "Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon." One thing is for certain, "normal" isn't coming back, for Jesus is anything but normal, and another thing is for certain, we need to be ready before it's too late… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
