Watering down Jesus...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What a temptation it is to just stumble our way through life, not really standing for anything, not really committed to furthering the cause of Jesus Christ, and certainly not willing to make a difference in the lives of others. What's the big deal here? The problem is, we are so used to our way of life that we don't even realize we're not standing up for Jesus when we need to stand up for Jesus! Oh, but we may OFFEND those who are throwing the cross of Jesus Christ into the trash on a daily basis by making a mockery of His words of truth. Especially those who offend need to be reminded of their offenses before it's too late for them to change their evil ways, just as all current believers, at some point in their sinful pasts, needed to be reminded of their own transgressions, and in doing so choosing to align their lives with Jesus before it was too late. Lord, your words of truth encourage us to make those life-changing decisions; "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
