Unity in Christ...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... My prayer lifted up says simply and passionately, we don't need more "conservatives" or more "liberals" or more division, for people will always find a way to be on opposite sides of an argument, but what we need is more Jesus Christ in the lives of those choosing to magnify their own divisive ways. It's okay to have various viewpoints until those views begin to lead us away from your heavenly ways, O Lord, to a place where we seek our own manipulative ways to get our way. For pathways leading us away from Jesus are the pathways leading to eternal destruction and damnation. It's not complex in theory, but so very difficult to put into practice; finding ways to treat others the way we would want to be treated, just as Jesus taught when He said, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matthew 7:12-14) I don't think it's any surprise that Jesus followed up the Golden Rule with a stern warning that few will find the narrow gate, for the masses are too focused on divisively widening the way leading to destruction… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
