Turning the other cheek...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Call me a simpleton if you wish but being "all inclusive" / willing to tolerate the beliefs of others, no matter how wrong they may be according to the Bible, doesn't mean we have to celebrate those anti-biblical beliefs. For at the end of the day, believers in Jesus Christ, simply want others to come to an understanding of the truth. Yes, the truth hurts for those who don't want to hear the truth, but as followers of Jesus Christ we have no choice but to promote the truth, and to propagate the values that lead to obedience, values that lead to eternal life through Jesus, your son. If I shut off non-believers in a judgmental way, will I ever reach those lost souls? Likewise, if I lay the truth on the line in a non-loving way, will I ever reach those lost souls? These are difficult dilemmas, for Jesus gave us our marching orders when He said, "You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you." (Matthew 5:38-42)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
