Trust in the LORD...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Will you ask us to do things that make absolutely no sense from an earthly standpoint? Based on my experience, I would say that's an absolute YES! But then again, what should we expect, for as James wrote, "whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." Too many times, we want it both ways, to be considered "religious" but yet still fully plugged into the world and its worldly ways. A better plan, a better way would be to, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil." (Proverbs 3:5-7) Lord, help me to trust you more than my own understanding, and to desire the ways of Jesus now more than ever… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
