Today is the day to make a difference...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Mark Twain once said a very wise thing when he stated, "The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why." Every person I've ever met desires to think that their life has both meaning and purpose, and why wouldn't they? For the very moment we comprehend that we've made a positive difference in the life of another is the day we are filled with great joy and comfort. Sometimes I wonder, was I born for this very moment in time to make a positive difference in the life of another, or are there many more moments to come? As humans, we get something and what do we do; we want more and more and more. But the best thing I can do is to take today for what it is, a blessing among blessings, and if today is the last day, then so be it, for I can be comforted knowing I have fulfilled one of my purposes of providing meaning and purpose to another instead of focusing on self as so many do. For this is our calling in Christ, perhaps fulfilling the prophesy of our birth into this world; "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10) Lord, may we all know we are capable of wonderfully unselfish acts of lovingkindness; now may we go and DO… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
