Through the eyes of a child...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I know at first glance it can sound overly dramatic, but I know I have seen Jesus through the eyes of a child. Not every child, not every instance of expression, but when you know, you know. It's a beautiful innocence, it's trust, it's fun, it's interactive, and it's the spirit of Christ living in them. Later in life after the world has beat us down, it's then we learn how to be reserved in our interactions, withholding our true feelings so as not to offend, but in doing so, losing a bit of our ability to influence others in the name of Jesus Christ, suppressing His spirit, His beauty, His truth. Very interestingly Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3) Isn't it interesting that we MUST be open to the truth as a child is open to the truth, and in doing so freely choosing to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
