Thoughtful reflections...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's almost normal these days that we all seek to be busy 100% of the time, so much so that we think we're loafing if we find just a sliver of peace and quiet on any given day. In fact, stillness can feel downright uncomfortable in a world that rewards constant motion. But we're challenged to hit the pause button long enough to be still and listen to your quiet voice, your creation, whispering in our ear just what our true priorities should be. Your word encourages us when it speaks to us saying, "Come, behold the works of the Lord , how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." (Psalm 46:8-11) Worth hearing? If we're constantly busy, then THIS is where we need to be spending our time… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
