Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Is there any question that Jesus is THE MAN? When we think such thoughts, we're measuring His ability to do whatever needs to be done, and Jesus ALWAYS measures up. What's amazing to me was that He didn't flaunt what He could do, but He just did what needed to be done. Perhaps what's even more amazing was what He did NOT do; not the least of which was His ability to call 12 legions of angels (72,000) to His defense, but chose NOT to; Jesus said, "Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?" (Matthew 26:53-54) And therein lies the secret to the powers that Jesus had over this world; He chose not to save Himself, all so that He could save us / save me. Not doing what anyone else in their worldly mind would do the moment it needed to be done. Jesus chose to think of others the very moment He had all the right in the world to save Himself; now THAT is power personified… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
