The two shall become one...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Believe it or not, O Lord, I believe you've led me to discover many similarities between the simplicity of making world-class maple syrup and the complexities encapsulated in a beautiful marriage meant to last the test of time…hard work, dedication, daily effort, attention to detail, tender-loving care, and pure love. One thing is for certain, the simple blessings in this life are always worth pursuing, for the result is something wonderful as wonderful as wonderful was meant to be. "Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." (Ephesians 5:31) For those who've experienced a true love surpassing the test of time, these are the ones who simply know how "sweet" a relationship can be; for a lasting relationship is a relationship built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame." (1 Peter 2:6) Jesus, you've taught us that going the extra mile in pursuit of perfection is always worth the time and effort; often failing, but applying those lessons learned to knowing that you've covered your disciple's failures with your life giving grace… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
