The truth hurts those not seeking the truth...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Here's the truth, O Lord, and you know my heart; I hate sin, but I love the sinner. What does that even mean, many would ask? It means I'm to be counted among the sinners, hating that I sin, but loving that you love me enough to forgive those sins. But here's the rub, people that promote sin are an abomination to your words of truth, plain and simple, we must HATE sin, for to do otherwise is to accept those abominations as if they don't matter. If I know one thing in this life it's that the truth hurts when it's a convicting truth, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) May I always be a seeker of the truth, and when I discover such revelations, may I immediately apply them to my life, all the while seeking your forgiveness for my obvious transgressions… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
