Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's difficult for us to deal with failure. Many times, we just want to forget today and look forward to a brighter day, a day that has hope, literally a new beginning. This is the hope we have in you, O Lord, as Habakkuk, your servant so aptly wrote so many years ago; "Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places." (Habakkuk 3:17-19) Not everything is going our way, should we expect any different in a world full of heartache and pain and suffering? No, we should not, but that doesn't mean we're without hope; in fact, just the opposite is true for those wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus Christ! Our success, our victory, is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness; "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1:3) ...Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
