The highest priority...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There are many things that should sound the alarm in this life; near the top of that list is the fact that mankind has had nearly 2000 years after Jesus arose from the grave to do the right thing, by aligning our lives with Him. It's funny because the right thing to do is right in front of our very nose. We have the Bible, a book inspired by the Holy Spirit, but too many believe that something besides this book has a higher priority in their lives, so they don't even bother reading the words of life contained therein. Your inspired word inspires us to live according to the way you designed our lives to be lived, freed from the bondage of sin via the sacrificial blood of your son. "This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:5-7) The alarm is sounding, will our sins keep us from hearing? I pray not… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
