The greatest form of flattery...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It has been said that imitation is the greatest form of flattery. I believe it because it's been proven over and over again in my own life. Those I've chosen to model my life after have been the ones I've admired the most; not necessarily due to their accomplishments, but rather to how they approach the challenges which they have been called to overcome. Yes, accomplishments come fast and furious to those who do it the "right way" that's for certain, but whether victorious or suffering in defeat, those I admired the most are the one who are just as gracious in losing as they are modest in winning. Always prepared, always ready to improve, always focusing on being better tomorrow than they were today. Isn't this exactly how Jesus calls us into action at the beginning of each new day? To follow in His footsteps as we imitate His ways leading to life; I believe wholeheartedly that it's exactly what He images us doing day in / day out. For "We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
