Putting down others...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There's not one of us who's not judged by another. If someone is from Chicago, someone from New York will say they're a podunk. If someone is from Indiana someone from Chicago would say they're a podunk. If someone is from a small town in Indiana someone from Indianapolis would call them a podunk. It's the way of the world, putting down others who you don't understand or can't possibly comprehend why they do what they do. "Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them, 'Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?' They replied, 'Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.'" (John 7:50-52) If Jesus was actually from Galilee (Nazareth) then no doubt He was podunk, a nobody, someone not even worthy of being considered righteous as these so-called religious, holier-than-thou types thought of themselves as being worthy of the highest calling. We best be careful of who we call a nobody, for that nobody was the King of kings, and Lord of lords in the highest possibly realms. The very one who enables us to live forevermore; podunk? I think not… Thank you, Jesus, our King of kings and Lord of lords, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
