Providing for our family...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... May we never take for granted your words of truth, for many times we just do what we know needs to be done in our own families, but forget that we need to influence ALL for the good of the kingdom. "Command these things as well, so that they may be without reproach. But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:7-8) It hurts to see a family being led by those who are self-serving, those ignoring the needs of their very own peeps at home. We can't accept this kind of self-serving behavior, Lord. We need to influence this world just as Jesus influenced us to do the right thing in all situations and circumstances. May we start with family, which is a common denominator to the beginning point of all things good… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
