Peace in Christ alone...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We all go through challenges in life, many can be overwhelming, leaving us wondering how we can possibly muster up the strength to take our next breath let alone how we'll handle tomorrow. But we have to know that no matter what we're going through, no matter how painful it may be, believers can find peace in knowing that YOU are with us, and that we aren't going through any challenges that were more difficult than the challenges Jesus was confronted with on a daily basis. We can find peace in Christ Jesus alone, for nowhere else can we find such comfort, for any other path we may be tempted to take only leads us to disappointment and heartache and pain. Jesus said, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) and, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." (John 14:27) Now THOSE are comforting words, words to live by, words leading us to an eternity of tomorrows… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
