Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... As parents, as grandparents, as hard workers on a daily basis, there are times, as the old folksy saying goes, when "my get‑up‑and‑go must have got up and went!" But even in times when we don't feel like going full speed, we have to suck it up, get up, and go do what needs to be done in order to provide for our families, to become whom you've called us to be. Jesus was constantly on-the-go, constantly meeting the needs of those seeking His miraculous powers; it must have been exhausting. So much so that one day He was fast asleep during a violent storm on the Sea of Galilee; "When evening had come, He said to them, 'Let us go across to the other side.' And leaving the crowd, they took Him with them in the boat, just as He was. And other boats were with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke Him and said to Him, 'Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?' And He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, 'Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?'" (Mark 4:35-40) We can keep going, keep serving, knowing we have a Savior who set the example of doing whatever needed to be accomplish for the good of His Father's kingdom, your kingdom O Lord; may we go and do likewise, bringing peace to all souls we touch in His name… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
