Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... The thoughts of something wonderful have a way of dominating our conscious minds if we're not carefully tuned-in to what's possible and what's only a figment of our imagination. I know it's okay to dream but it's not okay to dream of coveting our neighbor's possessions; it's okay to imagine a better life for our family but we're challenged to find happiness in the present situation else we're destined to become frustrated and bitter and worst of all, less spiritual as this life pulls us away from the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11-13, "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength." It's hard not to pursue the worldly things in this life, especially when they are so close to being within our ability to seize the moment and take what we believe to be our fair share. May we fight such temptations and simply pursue all things spiritual with our remaining days, days that are surely numbered… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
