One day closer...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... The more the question is contemplated, the more the question needs to be viewed from a spiritual perspective. That question, is growing older the beginning of the end or the beginning of a new beginning? The band Pink Floyd in their song Time, spoke to our predicament; "You run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again. Sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death." We all feel it for from that morbid viewpoint of life. Each new day brings us one day closer to death. But there we go again, focusing on death as if it's the end point of life! Yes, it's easy to work ourselves into a negative spiral, a state of mind that says, I wish I would've done this or that, but now it's too late. What a sad state of affairs, and one that every follower of Jesus Christ must avoid in order to stay focused on exactly what Jesus wanted us to focus on; life everlasting. "In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." (John 14:2-3)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
