Not your conversation / mind your own business…

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We have an expression in our family that was stated when someone was trying to nib-nose their way into another's conversation, "It's not your conversation!" Sounds harsh on the surface, but the reality of the matter is that it denies attention to those who seem to selfishly need to know everything about everything, when in reality they don't need to know anything about the present conversation. It's a tale as old as time, for it's difficult for mankind to mind their own business. "Aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one." (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12) The checklist is clear: live quietly (not boisterously), mind my own affairs (not other's affairs), work with my hands (less with my mouth). It's a way of life that leads to life; honorable and trustworthy in Christ, the way this world was intended to be since the very beginning of time… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
