Not seeking our own ways...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Lord, why do I struggle with this, only you know. But when I see college sports these days, all I see is a glorified AAU team and at times literally a minor league professional team. Why does it matter in the spiritual realm many would ask? It matters to me because I like to think we need to develop as human beings, not seek out those automatic wins that come with doing the things we want to do, picking our own team just so we can win championships. To me, it's more about simply doing what needs to be done to further the cause and kingdom of Jesus Christ. Not seeking the perfect church, not seeking the perfect preacher, not seeking the perfect singing/ praise band, not any of this, but rather simply seeking to worship you, O Lord, in spirit and truth; for Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33) There's only one perfection in this life, any other way simply leads to heartbreak and failure, and worse yet, a false sense of control… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
