My fair share...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... O Lord, you know me and you know when I witness "team over individual" I feel like there's hope for the future of humanity. For our selfish "me first" society has a seemingly insatiable desire to think otherwise. The prevailing thought process goes like this, get what you can get while you can get it, for if you don't demand your fair share, who will! Honestly, I'm tired of trying to figure out my portion of "fair share" on a daily basis, it's burdensome and quite literally, a formula that is impossible to calculate. Are we to simply give up and accept whatever, thinking it was destiny, in was in the stars from the beginning? From a fleshly viewpoint, the world teaches us to get all we can get, but from a spiritual standpoint, we MUST know that "Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body…" (Philippians 3:20–21) It's simply a matter of focus, a matter of emphasis on a daily basis, for when we put Christ first, this world simply falls into its proper place, second place...no need for us to worry about anything, no concerns for our fair share, for OUR share is strictly in the spiritual realm, a place reserve for an eternity of tomorrows, and THIS truth transcends worldly worth... Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
