Like a dog chasing its own tail...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Life always boils down to a series of trials and errors, for how else can we possibly know what to do and what not to do? Problem is that too many people follow their own thinking rather than the perfection inseparably connected with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thinking we're good with learning from our own mistakes and then adjusting as necessary. This sounds like a great plan, but unless we overlay your will in our lives as laid out in the New Testament, we're destined to repeat our errors over and over, like a dog chasing its own tail. A better plan is to do our best to imitate good, not evil, as John wrote, "Do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God." (3 John 1:11) What a blessing it is to KNOW that we are a forgiven people, a freedom that enables us to know that we don't need to live this life alone, to know that we know what to do in all situations and circumstances by following in the footsteps of Jesus… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
