Liar, Lunatic, or LORD...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... In his book Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis argues that because Jesus claimed to be God, He cannot merely be considered a "great moral teacher." Instead, He must be a liar (deliberately deceiving), a lunatic (deluded), or the Lord. Jesus, you know where I stand on this topic! The proof is in the pudding as we say, for You are who You said You were! Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" ...Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 16:13,16-17) How do we know? Peter's testimony yes, but also those who witnessed the AMAZING miracles, signs, and wonders. As Peter testified to in the Book of Acts, "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know..." (Acts 2:22) The day Peter spoke these words, about 3,000 souls were baptized for the forgiveness of their sins; may we all respond as those 1st century newly formed Christians responded that day, a day that changed their destiny FOREVER, as it will ours through Jesus our Lord… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
