If it ain't broke don't fix it...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... A timeless and classic line delivered from days of old when we just can't seem to help ourselves, "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" Isn't that just like us, trying to take something that's working perfectly fine and trying to make it better, only to break the something that wasn't broke in the first place. But many times, the only way to learn is to screw up and then to be forced to learn from our mistakes. I've been there so many times that you would think I'd know better, but it seems there's always something perfect that I'm trying to make better, as foolish as that sounds. Then I contemplate your perfect words of truth, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17) What part of ALL don't we understand? Doing whatever it takes to justify "our view" of "your words of truth and knowledge." May we come to our senses, and quickly, O Lord… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
