I can only imagine...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Growing older we can't help but wonder what you had in mind when you created the aging process. In our younger days we truly believed that we were invincible, but as we grew older, we learned the folly of such thinking! Invincibility has been replaced with vulnerability, for we readily comprehend that our days our numbered. On the surface it seems we are on a collision course for ending life as we know it, but may we never be dismayed into thinking this is the end, but rather, only the beginning of something wonderful! What is it? We know but we don't really know. Jesus explained it in a way we could relate to from an earthly standpoint when He said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." (John 14:1-4) Comforting? Absolutely something we can all imagine, but oh the glory when we see it in heavenly bodily form; I'm 100% certain I'll say, "I had NO IDEA it was this magnificent!" … Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
