Humility in action...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... When I witness "humility in action" I can't help but to be humbled when contemplating my own life. It comes in many flavors but the one that impacts me the most is when someone returns ALL of their glory to Jesus Christ; humbly acknowledging that Jesus has lived in and through the people that have impacted these humble souls the most. I feel this in my own life from my wife, my children, my grandchildren, my parents, my brothers and sisters in Christ, and the love I feel on a daily basis from all of those with a vested interest in my wellbeing. Could I be more blessed? Honestly and humbly, I think not; for my prayerful life is alive and working interactively as it guides me to the loving kindness, the sacrificial love, and the merciful love that can only originate from Jesus, my Lord! "God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:4-7) How could I be anything but humble when reading these words of truth and love and compassion, written for those undeserving, the very man-in-the-mirror… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
