Happy-Sad-Happy-Sad...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What are those kids thinking? Some wise young boys recently informed me when quizzed about what their little toddler sister must be thinking. They said they knew exactly what she's thinking; happy-then sad-then happy-then sad-then happy-then sad! Smart boys who also experience those range of emotions on a daily basis. Spoiler alert here; we never grow out of those range of emotions; happy one moment and sad the next. Life is full of ups and downs, so it's up to us to determine how we choose to respond. Do we lash out against our oppressors when we're sad or unhappy, or do we turn everything over to you, O Lord? The latter answer to that question will enable us to rise above the fray of this life as we prayerfully refuse to let those around us control us like a thermostat. How can we find joy in such a world of heartache and pain? By reading your words of wisdom revealed to your servant Isaiah some 2,700 years ago; THIS is the right approach, the right prospective; "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬) Through Christ Jesus and His blood shed on our behalf, we are freed from the burdens of this life, well-positioned to let your GRACE rule in our lives; happy-happy… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
