Free lunch...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Who doesn't like a free lunch? Well, that answer is obvious, as many will jokingly state, "The best lunch I've ever was the one that was free!" But generally speaking, nothing is truly free in this life, and if we think it is then we're bound to be dramatically disappointed. There are small exceptions to be sure, but when it comes to the big things on planet earth, there's always a price to be paid. But when it comes to spiritual matters of the heart, this is where it gets really interesting, for "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:8) Thank you, Lord, for GRACE is an amazing gift, an amazing concept for mankind; literally an unmerited favor that you continually bless us with on a daily basis. Do we deserve such a "free lunch?" No way, but nevertheless, through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ, your son, you have chosen to bless us by forgiving those who obediently follow in His footsteps… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
