Focusing on our needs...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I'm confident we've all noticed a tendency in this life, and that is to start taking things for granted, those things we've become accustomed to regularly having on a daily basis. Just because we have it today, doesn't mean you won't keep others from taking it away from us tomorrow on a moment's notice. Everything we have is a blessing from above, and even the things we don't have are most likely a blessing in disguise. For you know what we can handle as Paul so aptly wrote to the believers at Corinth; "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13) Yes, temptations have the uncanny ability to be viewed as blessings when we have our minds set on getting what we want. May we all focus on our own needs rather than our wants, and in doing so, witnessing all things beginning to fall into their proper spiritual space; enabling us, through grace, to lead humble Christlike lives… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
