Fight the good fight...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What do people love to talk about when they get together? Old times for sure! But the only problem about discussing old times is that you have to be old to discuss them! Lord, in your infinite wisdom, growing older is a huge part of your plan for mankind. Why? My theory is that when we were young, we were loud and proud, but as we grew older, we became reflective of times past, and knowing where we currently stand, humbled by the magnitude of life, understanding just how temporary our lives on Planet Earth can be. Our days are numbered, not just the old, but the young as well relative to the infinite nature of eternity, so the sooner we realize this inevitable fact the sooner we will be motivated to get our lives right with you. What are we to do but to "Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:11-12) Fighting the good fight is always worth fighting for… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
