Doing what needs to be done...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We all want to know, what does it take to go from nothing to something to greatness in this life? Oh, I know, boy do I know, we all want the proverbial Easy Button, the easiest and fastest possible path to success, but what this world teaches us, what this world demands of us, is that great things come to those who are willing to dedicate, willing to do whatever it takes, willing to pursue their passions with all of their God-given abilities at the forefront of all they say and do ON A DAILY BASIS! Yes, it's been said, that nothing GOOD comes easy! One day many years ago, Jesus was teaching and not only teaching but teaching a very difficult lesson and at the end of that lesson His disciples said, "'This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?' But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, 'Do you take offense at this? Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.'" (John 6:60-63) Jesus challenges us to look in the mirror, to set our priorities on things above, Spiritual things, and to simply do what needs to be done on a daily basis, knowing that ONLY the Spirit gives life, not anything we do in and of ourselves in the flesh… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
