Doing good...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Sure, in the scheme of things, it's just another day, but this time of the year we can't help but to be reflective on the possibilities awaiting us in the new year. One thing I've discovered in my life is that the more I can blend life into one continuous Christlike flow, the more spiritually satisfied I become. Funny how that works with you, O Lord; you lead us when we freely choose to do our best to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Whether it be our commitment to church, our commitment to family, our commitment to friends and the making of even more friendships, the keyword is "commitment!" People wanna be around people who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others; literally, doing one good and loving deed at a time, all for the glory of your kingdom. "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows...Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." (Galatians 6:7, 9-10) In this new year, may we all be focused on finding the good to do, and then to simply do it… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
