Do not be anxious about tomorrow...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... How can we best achieve our long-term goals? The best advice I've ever heard is to focus on the next task at hand, finding a way to keep accomplishing those tasks one-at-a-time throughout the day, ready to take on tomorrow ONLY when tomorrow arrives at our doorstep. To do otherwise is to be overwhelmed by the magnitude of our ultimate goal, and when we're overwhelmed, eventually our temptation is to throw up our hands in frustration. We know from experience that the things we have failed on the most are the things which have caused us the most frustration. Jesus' teaching on anxiety became quite clear when He said one day, "Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (â€â€Matthew‬ â€6‬:â€34‬) Wise words for a world full of anxiety, depression, and seemingly impossible "To-Do" lists… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
